It was indeed a very lucky day to all of us when beginning of November 2004 Kerstin
arrived together with our new and
much awaited lovely familymember "Jill" in her arms at Frankfurt Airport. Oh yes, our english Lady matured into real so
very beautiful bitch
and loved it much to live her life only in full speed - A true Action girl. Jill
truly had such most loving
temper
and was been always such sweet girl which we loved so very much from deepest
bottom of our hearts.
Our special
thanks to Kay and Colin Woodward, which are truly much responsible breeders, to let us have our very lovely
and
beautiful little girl "Jill" ! We also feel so sorry to both of you and real so very sad that this has must happened to our
sweet
darling "Jill" when she was truly something so very special to us too !
We really had hoped to spend a very long time together with our little girl
"Jill" but it shouldn`t be and still toooo..... young
she was been taken out of our life. Absolutely no words can express how much we
miss our sweet Darling "Jill" when her
sadden loss is truly just like a Tragedy to us !
Oh yes, we truly felt always so extremely sorry to our lovely girl who had must
going through so very much and if possible
we had would like it much to take it all to ourself too. Even during the hardest time of her life when this terrible illness has put
her
so very down she was always such very valiant
and brave girl !!! We`r real much grateful to all the time we were allowed to
spend together with our little girl "Jill" even it was
such a very, very, short one. "Jill" left us truly with so many happy
memories
and made a huge impact in our life like our sweet darling will be forever unforgotten !
We are truly heartbroken to the full and why on earth just "Jill"...... ????
Rest in peace sweet little
"JILL" when you will be ALWAYS in our hearts -
Goodbye and will see you again......
In deepest Love
Kerstin, Stefan & Mika XXX

FAREWELL TO A TRUE AND MUCH VALIANT LITTLE LADY
Even we had HOPED so very much from deepest bottom of our hearts, we have
unfortunatelly LOST the very long
and hard FIGHT against this truly horrible and distressing Liver Disease of our
so very hardly missed and much be-
loved english girl "Jill". The strong grief and heartache we`r feeling is
absolutely not possible to describe in words like
we`r still much speechless about what has must unfortunatelly happened to our
lovely little girl "Jill" too. We truly have
put all ever possible energy into to help our sweet darling "Jill" how best as
ever possible and NEVER GAVE UP !!!!
We were already indescribable saddened so very much from bottom of our
hearts when after real much extensive and
different kinds
of examinations like liver function tests, fine needle Biopsy, ultrasound etc. at least at the Veterinary
University at Gießen there was been
unfortunatelly diagnosed by our so very much beloved english girl "Jill" this real
distressing disease of
"Chronic Hepatitis"! At this time "Jill" had already very strong
disturbance of her liverfunction
like a strong damage of the liver already exist too which was been also confirmed with the
results of this loooo...ts of
taken Blood-samples and other tests !!!
It all began already last summer 2006 and unfortunatelly a strong relapse happened
beginning of the year 2007 where
from
"Jill" happily had improved real well again. Our very special thanks
goes to our lovely and much endeavored
Vet. Dr. med. vet. M. Andreas who had put "Jill" this time really on her paws again and was always there for us day
and night like of course to Internal Specialist Prof. Dr. med. vet. A. Moritz
and his Assistent Vet. A. Mathes at Vet.
Univ. Gießen who tried all
together to help our sweet darling "Jill" as
best as ever possible !!
With real much circumstances we even imported Denosyl SD4 from USA via Espania and
Switzerland which was been also
suggest from Penny Watson, the leader of the Research Project of Chronic
Hepatitis at the Vet. School Hospital Cambridge,
UK ,
to treat Jill with too - Thanks to all who has helped so much to get to manage it all
!
After we started new Therapy happily beginning of May we were
real so very happy when the examination results have
becomes so much better; but we didn`t becomes too much enthusiasm
when we already knew about this lots of Ups and
Downs from the past of this terrible Liver Disease which was real difficult to
manage. Overall it was always a feeling like
to
"sit on a bomb" which will start if next relapse would happen - just about this
we were most of all afraid before !!!!
To our very big joy Jill seemed outwardly well for some time when she initially
improved real good.
But unfortunatelly, even despite receiving most supportive and best possible treatment and care like such
as high quality
diet, antibiotics, UDC,
antioxidants, Denosyl SD4 and at least even Stereoide, end of June 2007 real
much more
stronger
and
very much serious relapse like the last one happened to our lovely girl Jill from where she
at least unfortunatelly didn`t
recovered again.
The results of Blood tests were real much horrible and this time Jill even needs "Infusion" to keep her on
her paws when she was been
out of food since this very strong relapse
happened and during the whole time when given it to
her, Kerstin was laying with her
lovely girl together on the vetbed on the floor, kept
her little girl "Jill"
always full in her
arms, cuddeled and kissed her and has been in
floods of tears when always hoped a wonder would happen to let our always
so VERY VALIANT little girl improve and finally
start just only to eat again.
But just when Jill starts smelling much of AMMONIAK (Poison Gas) out of her mouth
this was truly such very serious sign
that
her Liver had stoped working and we took the agonizing decision to let her
go over the Rainbowbridge without getting more
pain when we felt that she had must suffered already enough. We have lost truly
the hardest fight in our life so far and what for
a terrible feeling to be at least so helpless and know for sure that there is
absolutely Nothing more to help your very best friend
of life !!!! What for a strong fight we fought in our hearts to let her finally
go over the Rainbowbridge !!
We were
real much
surprised to hear that there exist already an Hepatitis Research Project at Queen`s
Veterinary School at
Cambridge which is lead by Mrs. Penny Watson when
there is an unexpected rise in
cases of Hepatitis in the Breed English
Springer
Saniel in UK and Norway with a very similar history; English
Springer Spaniels in Norway are closely related geneti-
cally to those in UK and unfortunatelly this disease appears to have
a high mortality too. We`r very thankful to Mrs. Penny
Wat-
son like to Mrs. Lesley Bloomfield, the Health Co-ordinator of the
Southern English Springer
Spaniel Society for all their support
they
have given during this real difficult time to us. Of course and real selfless and full of openness we`ve informed Penny Watson
always about how Jill gets on like we`v given
them all Data, Examination Results and
have even
send EDTA Blood and Serum to
Cambridge when wanted to give our best support
to the Research Project too !
"Up to date we have unfortunatelly never got to know, even have asked so many
times for, any kind of data and facts
about still
suffering and already died ESS into the Research Project which is indeed so very sad and even disappoint us
extremely much when
much more OPENNESS
and TRANSPARENCY would be really wished and needed to deal with such serious
healthy problem into
the breed ESS
in England and Norway !!! Well, we think that until
such big Reseach Project start it must have had real many, many
ESS which had and still have to suffer from
this real such distressing
disease where all has a very similar history like English
Springer
Spaniels in Norway are closely related gentically to those
in UK too ! "
We only hope so very much it will be ever possible to find out the truth and the
reason why on earth this must happen to all
the wonderful English Springer Spaniels like of course WE will be informed
too when they have succeed into this most im-
portant Hepatitis Research Project ! This is just why WE TOO appeal to everyone
to support Penny Watson and her team
at the Queen`s Veterinary School Hospital where they are doing real such a great
job - we keep all fingers crossed they will
succeed one time and it will be possible to prevent that always more and more
English Springer Spaniels have to suffer and
even must die like our sweet darling "JILL" for reason of this terrible disease
which is indeed absolutely devastating for
both dogs and owners too !!!!

Hepatitis Research
Project here and about the
